Video: Winter Rally 1961

For Canadian rallyists, we are now entering some of our favourite months of the calendar – the snow rally season! This past weekend, the Sports Motor Car Club of Montreal held the latest edition of the oldest navigational rally in the country – the Rallye des Neiges. Almost 50 years ago, the National Film Board produced a movie about this event titled “Winter Rally: Rallye des Neiges“. It is a very astute, funny, and even educational dose of Canadian rally nostalgia. It proves that even after half a century, the appeal of rallying is still the same – getting lost, driver/co-driver “debates”, sideways fun, and plucky winter stick-to-itivness! Sit back and enjoy!
